Spacious comfortable accommodation with lovely touches and nice outside space

Pros: Really spacious accommodation. Looks like the photos. Lounge, kitchen and bathroom downstairs, bedroom and ensuite upstairs. 2 Spacious Balconies, 1 off each floor, with lots of seating. Lots of freebies in the room when we arrived - snacks, bottle of wine, biscuits, some coffee pods raki, juice & 2 sml water. Lots of seating by the pool. Pool was cool but partner still swam and nice to sit by it and look at the mountains. Facilities listed a washing machine. This is not in the room but the cleaner offered to do our washing for free and returned it so we could hang it on the airer on the balcony. The lady who opened reception each day and cleaned was really friendly. Recommend Vamos as a good base if want a lovely village with great places to eat and other pretty local hill villages to look around.

Cons: Not the owner's fault but there are 5 cute cats/kittens who wait for you outside the door and try to get into the room every time you open the door from the seating area. We didn't stroke them to try not to encourage them but obviously others had so they were persistent. View left of the seating areas is not as scenic but if look straight ahead it's lovely to see the mountains. The walk to the accommodation is slightly uphill from the town and down a dark track so ensure got a phone with you for a light. You don't see the next door building site from the accommodation but sadly they start digging at around 7am making lots of noise. Sure this won't last long so won't be a reason not to stay. We would stay here again but only fair to advise others incase staying soon and don't like morning noise.

Lovely pool and garden

Pros: Less than 10 minute walk from the village. The villas each have a personal area outside and the pool area has additional seating and loungers. Very pleasant indeed. The kitchens have reasonable cooking utensils and mop and broom between cleans.

Cons: Noisy building work next door starts at 6 in the morning. Lots of very friendly cats but can be a nuisance. Good mattress but we found it too firm.

Pros: The rural location, very peaceful and nice to experience local life.

Cons: Nothing to dislike

Pros: A very comfortable and relaxing stay. The property was clean and well-maintained, with a lovely pool and garden area. The patio furniture was great for enjoying the outdoors, and the bed was especially comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

Cons: There were some unexpected building works next door, which we would have preferred to be informed about in advance.

Pros: the room is very big, clean and comfortable. the view from the belcouny is wow!

Relaxing and quiet but with all facilities nearby

Pros: Good location with good facilities and easy walking to village centre plus extended walks possible to other similar nearby villages

Lovely local peaceful experience in Vamos.

Pros: Wonderful property, peaceful, surrounded by farms and nature but 5 minute walk to town. The apartment was huge and spotless, we enjoyed 2 balconies and a lovely pool and outdoor space. There were a few other couples staying there at the same time , everyone was so friendly but respected each others space. Highly recommend if you are seeking a local, off the beaten path peace, comfort, and beautiful views.

Very spacious apartment in peaceful location on the edge of Vámos with a beautiful pool

Pros: Our apartment was extremely spacious - on two floors - with a big comfortable bed, large sofa, and everything you could need in the kitchen area. Outside it had lots of different places to sit or lie and relax and a beautiful pool. Very peaceful location but near enough to walk into the village where there was a big choice of bars and restaurants and a couple of well stocked mini markets. Our hostess, Irene, was charming, friendly and very informative. The cleaner came every day so it was immaculate. Highly recommend.

An excellent base for touring this interesting region and the people are very friendly and helpful.

Pros: The location is ideal. It is in a quiet area but close to a large village with a good selection of restaurants and shops for basic needs.

Cons: The approach road is narrow. But otherwise we have to specific suggestions.
