Vamos Palace Apartments

Highly recommended in a lovely walking area

Pros: Eleni was an exceptionally pleasant and welcoming host. We had an upstairs appartment with a covered balcony with a lovely view. It was spacious and clean. We were offered lots of cake! There is an excellent swimming pool, although we didn’t use it due to the weather.

Cons: The kitchen facilities were a little dated, but this wasn’t a particular problem.

Wonderful stay in Vamos

Pros: The hosts were wonderful and provided us with free welcome desserts and gifts. The swimming pool was an added bonus. The room was large, comfortable and very clean.

Cons: Nothing not to like.

Vamos visit

Pros: We had such a warm welcome from the owner Eleni and her husband, upgraded to a much bigger room with fabulous views and free pastries. The whole place is beautiful and clean , plenty of parking and a short walk through the lovely village of vamos to bars and restaurants. We would not hesitate to book here again when in the area it is a slice of heaven, thank you for a lovely stay.

Pros: Our hostess was lovely and our accommodation was very comfortable. Easy walk into town for dinner.

Vamos Palace Apartments

Pros: Our stay at Vamos Palace Apartments was absolutely wonderful and just what the doctor ordered! My friend and I were in Vamos for another friends wedding, so the location was perfect. It gave us the most wonderful cretan hospitality experience. Eleni and Stavros were the most excellent hosts and often went above and beyond, bringing us home made snacks by the pool and even delivering \

Cons: The pool hours are a bit odd, especially if you want to spend the day at the pool mooching or sunbathing, you cannot enter the pool between 2.30pm and 5pm - not sure of the reasons - I wasn't too bothered by it, however, if you are a keen pool dipper while sunbathing, this might annoy you a little. The walk into the village square is vertically up hill.. In the heat its an absolute struggle. Recommend turning right out of the apartments and following the road all the way to the main road and then turning right and up into the village square that way - quicker and more flat!

A perfect place to stay in Vamos, just what I was looking for

Pros: The property is in a very quiet location on the edge of Vamos village and only a few minutes walk from the centre. My apartment was spacious, well appointed and private, everything I could have wanted. The owner made me most welcome, gave me some wonderful cakes and biscuits and she speaks perfect English. Communications prior to my stay were excellent including the arrangement of a late arrival. If you are coming to Vamos then this accommodation would be a good choice and I can recommend it without hesitation. Thank you for looking after me!

Cons: Nothing with the apartments just as with everything in Vamos a car is needed. In saying that due to Cretes history, a car is required anyway.

Pros: An amazing hideaway with a fabulous pool. The grounds are very well maintained, and there is plenty of space with plenty of sunbeds. The rooms are really big, comfortable and the aircon was very much appreciated! The shining star of the place is the family who run it, so very friendly, generous and helpful.
