Very quiet address in Askyfou

Pros: Very quiet stay near the Askyfou plateau. The view from the room (studio) was amazing! The studio had lots of appliances: a small kitchen, a living room with couches and armchairs, a bathroom with a window... I really loved the cooking from the associated restaurant above, where you get the keys and can get breakfast, lunch and dinner in a room overlooking the plateau. The owner was very helpful with recommendations.

Cons: The room was cold at night (though there were blankets), but I still slept well. There is a lot of slope due to the hotel being located in the mountains, so there are stairs within the compound and it might not be very good for people with mobility concerns. Be careful if coming by bus: ask the driver to drop you at the hotel directly, because the official Askyfou bus stop is located on the other side of Askyfou (40 min walk or so on an uphill road without sidewalk).

Pros: The host, Andreas; the views; the apartment - and I would have loved the pool if it had been a bit warmer! Also the food, as noted by other reviewers, was lovely.

Cons: Because it had been cloudy the previous day, there was no hot water in the morning. Luckily I had had a lovely hot bath the night before, but I had wanted to wash my hair! Also I had requested a double bed but it obviously wasn't available. Nothing particularly bad though!

Beautiful nature

Pros: The place is worth just for the location. The view is beautiful and there are a few hikes nearby that are not so popular with tourists. The food at the tavern was tasty. Too bad the weather was cold and we couldn’t use the pool.

Cons: The bed was too soft for our liking.

FANTASTIC!

Pros: Everything! But I have to mention the FOOD is EXCEPTIONAL!! We returned several times after checking out to eat!

Pros: We really enjoyed our stay here, it had a fantastic view from the balcony of the mountains. The host was friendly and helpful and you could eat at the taverna that was above the apartments. The pool was great to use.

Amazing scenery and cozy apartment

Pros: Peaceful getaway with beautiful panoramic view of Askifou, scenery was amazing and the pool area was perfect for relaxing. The apartment was spacious, clean, cozy and it had everything you need short for or longer stays. We especially enjoyed the breakfast on the terrace made from fresh local ingrients. Andreas was extremely kind and welcoming and really made our stay.

Cons: Just small details; the location (without a car) was a bit far from the village and grocery store, shower curtain would have been appriated.

Pros: Pictures don’t do it justice. So beautiful, the view is amazing and the rooms are lovely and the food at the taverna is delicious.

Pros: The apartment was spotless, with a breathtaking view. The room was spacious, well-equipped, and very comfortable. We stayed in three different places during our trip to Crete, and this was by far the best of them.
