Excellent value accommodation

Pros: Clean and quiet. We were in an upstairs studio with fridge and kitchenette in the annexe building across the road. There was a lovely balcóny with views to the mountain and along the Coast ( if you were outside). Everything was clean updated and modern. Highly recomend. We left our bags at the taverna and the family were able to arrange transport to the start of Imbros Gorge for us which was great. If like us you decide to walk back into town after the hike then the hotel is conveniently located at the start of Sfakia.

Cons: Be aware this property is an up hill walk ( 5 to 10 minutes) from the harbour. This did not bother us at all and probably contributes to its value for money. We didnt eat at the Taverna so cant comment.

Pros: Very spacious room with a large balcony, a shortcut behind the hotel took us 5 minutes downhill to the harbor, where ferries depart and restaurants are located. The owner of the accommodation runs a restaurant directly opposite the hotel.

Absolutely wonderful example of Sfakian hospitality

Pros: Amazing location and view of Chora Sfakia. Very quiet with beautiful balcony view. Nice modernised bathroom. As many have mentioned, Giorgos creates an amazing environment, both in the accomodations but especially at his taverna. Such a clear labor of love. We bought olive oil, raki and honey from the taverna to take home, and we have the most delicious versions of all three now that we are back in Berlin :)

Friendly helpful and tentative - good value for money

Pros: Perfect location arrived very late but someone was there to meet us and provide a cold beer after a long journey- great breakfast and provided useful info for our onwards travels.

Perfect hospitality and food was amazing.

Pros: Very lovely welcome and good room. Air con worked well and the room was spacious and very clean. Small walk to the centre but this was OK and a lovely walk down. Eat at the restaurant the food was fabulous! Much better than the food on the front we thought. Very welcoming and inviting hosts. Made us feel very welcomed.

Home feeling with an amazing view

Pros: A very lovely stay! We especially appreciated the hospitality of the owners, their suggestions to explore the area and the delicious breakfasts and dinners we had at their taverna. The apartment is quiet and cosy and we loved the view on the mountain and the sea. The location is very convenient to explore this part of the southern coast.

I will recommend staying and eating at Giorgios Taverna !

Pros: The view and location great host running a taverna just opposite and they cook fantastic food ! All from his garden and locally produced Rooms were nice and clean. Location was good a 6min trek to the nearest beach and harbour Giorgios was fabulous helpful in every way thank you ☺️

Cons: I like to have double bed ( they had two singles pushed together room 7 had a faulty shower But on our second day we stayed room 6 and that room was very nice Both rooms have a fantastic Mountain View and the sea also sunsets were brilliant and the stars at night where we sat in the balcony was magical

Pros: EVERYTHING! This is a wonderful place to stay, just a 5min walk into the main village. The room was fantastic, spacious, clean with a large balcony and amazing views. Pros: Friendly reception, good location on the road close to Sfakia, terrace above the gorge. Good parking in front.

Cons: Simple accomodation, but efficient.

Perfect during my outside of season stay

Pros: I felt immediately welcome upon arrival. The room brought a smile to my face. You have a small private terrace, a kitchenette with basic necessities (ideal for a cup of tea, some fruit). The accomodation offers private parking (bonus in crete). Ideal place to stay should you be travelling outside of high season like I did. It is one of the only places which is still open and the tavern associated to mishori studios is one of the few adresses open (even open throughout the day). There's a walking path around the corner which brings you to the centre. The room was big and had all the details which made the stay super comfortable. - clean - comfy bed - super nice owners - smart tv to get through a rainy day
