Great location in the mountains with good food and opportunities for walks

Pros: Mountain setting ,and rustic rooms excellent breakfast and evening meals.

Cons: Shower wasn’t always hot. Not sure if it was due to a cloudy day affecting solar panels or more patience required.

Amazing retreat in the mountains of Crete

Pros: We had the most special stay at Milia Mountain Retreat! The small old mountain village has been turned into a real oasis of peace, quiet & nature with amazing people & animals! Our room (#13) in the middle of the forest had everything we needed without impacting the charm of the old stone house. Two sun loungers were placed on the roof of the house that were perfect for soaking in the peaceful morning vibes. We very much enjoyed the dinner at the restaurant which offered some unique dishes that we had not found anywhere else during our trip. The breakfast was also amazing! Prepared with so much love and the freshest ingredients. For us, clearly the best breakfast we had amongst many good ones on Crete. The owner also recommended a very beautiful small hike around the village, which was the perfect ending of our short stay.

Cons: We loved everything and wished we could have stayed longer.

A wonderful place in the Cretan mountains

Pros: Beautiful location in the mountains with stunning wild scenery. Comfortable rooms with boulder and grotto features. Helpful and friendly staff. Incredibly delicious Cretan food in the wonderful restaurant.

Wonderful hotel

Pros: We loved it! As advertised and more: warm staff, great breakfast and restaurant, loved the abundance of free spring water, hikes around the property and the views. Comfy bed and privacy to enjoy the quiet and peace of the mountains. Price of the room was very reasonable.

Really nice stay!

Pros: Lovely quiet in the mountains - good (Greek) road up to hotel. Nice prices and great food and really really nice staff. Every house has a little terrace - with nr 13 it is on the top of the house. 😉 we did the red hike approx 1 hour - use good shoes and it has a little bit of climbing.

Unique tranquil delightful

Pros: So peaceful and tranquil. The restaurant food and wine was exceptional. Best we had in Crete.

Cons: Nothing. It’s unique. Would have liked more information on the local flora and fauna especially the birds.

Pros: A unique hotel in a scenic location for nature lovers, with all the necessary amenities for a cozy accomodation.

Cons: The drive to the hotels parking can be a bit challenging at first but we got used to it and it wasn't a problem neither during the day or at night. Any regular car can be driven on the road.
