Pros: Great location, right next to the old town. We had a big and spacious room with a balcony. Everything was clean and comfortable. Would come back for sure.
Cons: Only thing was that bed had two small mattresses put together, that were drifting apart sometimes. Also there was no possibility to put do not disturb sign for the cleaning lady on the door. Otherwise all good.

Joyful stay at The Joy
Pros: Joy was extremely helpful in rearranging rooms to accommodate our request for a lower floor, accessible room. She even changed our room part way through our stay to give us more space and direct access to a lovely balcony. The hotel is beautiful and nicely decorated. Evenings on our Yellow Room balcony overlooking the vibrant street. Comfortable, quality beds. Well equipped room, with good storage. A communal sitting room we can use. The location is a very nice local area less than ten minutes walk to the harbour - best of both worlds. 15 minute walk to Koum Kapi beach one way (check out the wee beach in front of Machalas Restaurant; they are happy to seat you before and after swimming) and not much further to Nea Chora in the other direction. If you walk down Selinou to get there check out Syntrofia Ovelistirio for gyros at number 25 on your way back!

Pros: Well equipped and spacious room. Spacious bathroom. Great location, maybe one of the best in town because you are very close to the harbor and old town area, but still on a quite street. Very close to shops, bars and restaurants. Right at the entrance you'll find a great place with coffee and pastries. 2 mins walk to well known bougatsa place (Iordanis).
Cons: Sometimes can be difficult to find a parking space on the nearby streets. Otherwise, the accommodation is great.

Very convenient place to stay.
Pros: It was close to the old town without being in it, which I had wanted. It was near the Bus Station as well, which I wanted, too, for when I needed to catch an airport bus. It was close to the shops, which the real Greek people used, not just tourist shops. It was also quiet. It was also within easy walking distance of the lovely port area. The staff were very kind and very pleasant. It was an old property and had a great shower and a really comfortable bed. The room was spacious with efficient air conditioning. It was good value for money.
Cons: There were a lot of steps up to my room.

Pros: The Joy lives up to its name. The welcome is genuine. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The situation is perfect for Chania Old Town, and it’s close to the KTEL bus station.

Clean, central, close to restaurants and bus stop, far from beaches
Pros: Good location for the old town and restaurants. Spacious room, staff was friendly and cleaned our room regularly. Very close to the bus station so easy and quick to find arriving with the airport bus.
Cons: The air was a bit stuffy on the warmest nights, the Aircon was on the loud side and not very good. We ended up opening the windows wide but this meant the noise from the street could be disturbing on occasion. To get to the nice beaches, e.g. golden beach, from here you need a bus, bus stop is pretty close though. No elevator, so a bit difficult to get our suitcase up.

A nice place to stay and enjoy Crete:)
Pros: Very good location, close to the main bus station, old city, supermarkets etc and also walkable distance to the beach. It is an old building with beautiful design. The room had good AC, comfortable bed and clean towels which are changed every 2 days. Friendly staff.
Cons: A little noisy for a sensitive person, especially the old refrigerator which we turned it off. The room was a bit dusty on the surfaces when we arrived, otherwise it was pretty clean. Long and steep stairs to the room, but we managed it easily cause we didn’t have a lot of baggage.

Pros: It is a very good located accomodation, minutes away from the venetian port, shops and restaurants.
Cons: I know it is not possible to do but no lift is available
