Secret Garden Hotel

Great value accommodation.

Pros: Basic but clean apartment complex with friendly owners and staff. Good reasonably priced food. Bus stop right outside for buses into Chania, every 20 minutes. Convenience store, pharmacy and petrol station also right outside. 10-15 walk to larger supermarket and restaurants.

Nice facilities

Pros: The pool and the rooms are really nice. The staff is really friendly. Good value for money.

Cons: You need a car because close to the hotel there is not much to see. It wasn't cleaned properly.

Pros: Location was perfect, 10 mins walk to beach, bus stop right outside apartment building to take you into main strip. Staff were very friendly. Food was very good.

Highly recommend it for families

Pros: This is a great place to enjoy summer holidays. If you are with your family I highly recommend it. Relax, friendly people and staff will make the overall experience unique. The owners of this place are very good people and always available to help you. Definitely a place to visit again … Keep up the good work:)

Cons: I would appreciate someone to clean the room more often but still it was not bad.

Lovely little hotel

Pros: Lovely little hotel. Our room was nice and the pool area was lovely, never crowded and often had it to ourselves which was nice! Restaurant was nice, food was pretty standard but a decent price and lovely outside area. The staff were all lovely and friendly too. We hired a car and used the hotel as a base to travel to different areas, so didn't explore much of Maleme itself except for a few restaurants, but enjoyed the hotel and pool area in particular.

Cons: The shower was tiny so was very difficult to not flood the bathroom! Not the best pressure either. A bigger shower or even a wet room would have been better as the shower curtain was so close to you it was difficult not to touch it and it didn't seem the cleanest. The bathroom in general could have been cleaner as well as the floor in the room, it was quite dusty and my feet were often very dirty from the floor. The room is smaller that it looks online and the air con is not the strongest, we had it on 17 and it was still warm in the room at night (potentially due to it not being close enough to the bed). Lighting was also very dim.

Pros: Very nice, cosy and peaceful hotel with very friendly staff. Room and bathroom were modern and small nice details made them homey. We could defenatly come again.

Cons: There was no sink in our kitchenett and the shower was tiny

Perfect couple escape

Pros: This is a cozy place to relax, people are nice and the food is nice too.

Cons: Maybe the coffee could be improved but we are italians and it is not easy to find a satisfying espresso 😅
