In the middle of an olive grove

Pros: The property is situated in the middle of an olive grove, surrounded by trees with mountains as the backdrop, set in a peaceful environment with a large swimming pool, and close to the sea. A couple of supermarkets are located within a few minutes drive. The apartment was spacious with 2 beautiful terraces. We were lucky to be the only guests there; it was nice and quiet. Imbros gorge is only 15min away by car. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and we received a bottle of fresh olive oil on departure, thank you! A small jar of some kind of spirit was left on the kitchen table for us on arrival - we think it was raki - a label or a note as to what it was would have been great to avoid any confusion :)

Cons: Facilities are a bit outdated and could do with some renovation - the property has a big potential. The microwave only worked for a few minutes before it needed a break, and the electric hotplates took forever to cook on. Wifi had a poor signal. We also experienced the strong wind, and, of course, it's not the fault of the accommodation, but the noise made it hard to sleep at night. The shower curtain situation could be improved as the bathroom flooded after each shower :)

Lovely stay would definitely stay again

Pros: Value for money . 2 nd time stay . Beautiful pool . Very quiet . Friendly hosts . Near lovely beaches .

Cons: Steps to ground floor , poorly lit at night . Helpful if ramp or flat entrance to room

Long and windy road

Pros: The room was good, the swimming pool incredible. Our stay was incredibly windy, great views of the mountains. Would need a car, probably best as a base to visit surrounding areas. Would stay again 👍

Pros: Very peaceful and calm situation just a kilometer from the coast edge.

Relaxed before flight home

Pros: Captain Tom was very hospitable, gave us a very good upgrade and some of his olive oil made from his trees on the property. We were only able to stay for a few hours due to having to check out of our previous apartment but would return as it would be a great location for a relaxing beach holiday

Cons: The weather(gale force winds) but that’s not Captain Toms fault

A great base, great pool

Pros: we loved the space , the peace , everything thought of, very good bed, plenty of hot water and good power to the shower. We really loved it

Pros: Charming host who was most helpful & always available for a chat and advice. A very large and lovely swimming pool . There’s also an annexe next to the pool where coffee is available for free . Quiet location but short drive or 10 minute walk to a beautiful beach and tavernas. Our second stay here , already planning our third.

Cons: Property on a quiet road but on occasions traffic does zoom by , so be aware.

Fabulously relaxing studio apartment in quiet area

Pros: It was lovely and quiet in secluded area but still near enough to shops beach and Imbros Gorge. Very relaxing pls d to stay and lovely helpful owners 🥰

Pros: This was our fourth stay at Captain Tom's which says it all. We love to come back because of the beautiful surroundings among the olive groves, the large swimming pool and the very good host. Thank you for your hospitality and for the olive oil, Mr. Tom!

Amazing landscape, pool among the olive trees!

Pros: Quiet, relaxing, amazing pool and hammocks under the olive trees! Will come back for sure!!
