Helios Apartments

Spot on stay! Love a pool day!

Pros: Perfect holiday space. Will be returning! Pool and outside area so great, loungers were so comfortable and pool area always clean. Great space to be able to have a pool day. Good bar, not too expensive and staff were always lovely. Drinks always cold, and good food served daily! Best fresh cooked chicken! Room was brilliant, balcony with table and chairs and hanging space for wet swimwear. Plenty of space for 3 adults! Small little kitchenette, was great for a quick dinner in and the fridge had plenty of space for any food and beverages. Fresh towels if we needed them and housekeeping were always spot on! Great location! Less than 10 min walk to beach front bars and Iguana beach. Only 20 min bus from Chania centre. Overall fab stay will be going back if I get the chance!

Cons: Extra bed in the room is a-little hard as a conversion sofa- but wasn’t a bad bed just a-little ridged. Only other thing is I’m a celiac and there was no GF food on the menu, which of course I understand not all places can cater for, just would of been great to have a gf option even just gf bread. But again this stay was incredible ❤️

Pros: Great pool area and location within Kato Doratso. Short walk to the beach. Friendly welcoming staff.

Spacious Apartments, Relaxing Atmosphere, and Great Value

Pros: We had a truly enjoyable stay at Helios Apartments. The apartments are very spacious and well-maintained, providing everything needed for a comfortable holiday. The property also features a small but convenient snack bar, where you can enjoy breakfast, ice cream, snacks, and refreshing juices throughout the day. The location is excellent – just a short walk to the beach,shops and restaurants. If you want to go to the city there are regular buses to Chania (every 15 minutes, only 2 euros per person), exploring the area was very easy. Despite being close to amenities, the hotel itself is peaceful and relaxing, offering the perfect environment to unwind. The pool area was another highlight, with plenty of sun loungers available at all times, so there was never a need to rush. Overall, Helios Apartments offers a great balance of comfort, convenience, and tranquillity. We highly recommend it and would be delighted to return.

Cons: The only minor downside for us was that the pillows were a bit hard, but this is a matter of personal preference and didn’t affect the overall quality of our stay.

Pros: We traveled as a family to Daratso and were truly impressed with our stay. The hotel exceeded all our expectations! A big bravo to the entire staff – everyone was polite, smiling, and always ready to assist with anything we needed. The cleanliness was impeccable, and every corner of the hotel was well cared for down to the smallest detail. We felt completely satisfied and right at home. Keep up the excellent work – you're doing a fantastic job! We’re already looking forward to seeing you again next year!

Pros: amazing location so close to the beach and plenty of options of where to shop, 20 min bus ride to the main town!! staff were so lovely and welcoming with a free welcome drink upon arrival. room was cleaned everyday and was left in perfect condition.

Pros: The location is really great for people traveling with family or friends who like a more quiet environment. The pool is perfect, big enough to be able to swim in on days when you might not feel like walking to the beach. However, the beach is only 2 minutes away, and you have 3 superb beaches nearby to choose from, all within a very short walking distance. The room/studio is spacious, it fit 4 people comfortably, the beds were comfortable to sleep in. The cleaner came every day to sweep/wash the floors and change towels. Lidl and another big supermarket is also a 10 minute walk away, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. We would definitely love to go back here and recommend it 100% ✨

Cons: The breakfast was really great, although for the 6 mornings we had there, it was the same thing over and over again. A bit of variety with what they offered would have been welcome. The complimentary freshly squeezed orange juice was a little doze of sunshine each morning. One extra small thing that I would like to mention is not being able to open the bathroom window and air the small space.

Pros: The apartment was very spacious and really clean. The swimming pool was lovely.

Quiet spot near the beach
