Sea view villa Manolis with private pool near the beach

Really lovely stay and the hosts were always on hand to answer any questions, responding promptly.

Pros: The villa had gorgeous views surrounded by olive grows and also felt very spacious.

Cons: There wasn’t anything.

Excellent location

Pros: Lovely 2 bed villa located just a 2 minute drive from a beautiful beach. And 5 minutes drive away from the village centre. Really clean and tidy, with fully functioning AC. Well positioned as well for exploring other locations, 30 mins from both Chania and Lake Kournas, 45 mins from Rethymno It would be possible to walk to the beach and supermarket but a car is helpful for the hill and the summer heat! We would come back for another stay.

Cons: Not a huge issue but the WiFi isn’t great inside the property.

Perfect Stay in Kalyves, We Will Be Back!

Pros: Beautiful location, with a lovely view of Kalyves, the beach, the sea and the mountains. Nice classic villa with a balcony from the bedroom and also out the back where you can eat your dinner outside. The Villa was well equipped villa with a dishwasher, washing machine, espresso machine, large fridge, speaker, smart TV, lots of crockery and utensils. The pool is small but still big enough to swim lengths and relax in. The area around the pool was also great with an umbrella and comfy sun loungers, and also a BBQ.

Cons: The stairs are wooden and very slippy, would be good for there to be a runner there to make them less slippy.

Great villa with gorgeous views

Pros: Beautiful Villa with amazing views over the souda bay, the white mountains and the ottomon fortress. Good size pool. Really friendly staff. Well equipped kitchen. The owners also own a great restaurant on the beach which did really nice food and cocktails and again had great staff. Kalyves is a great village as well. Some good places to eat and drink, nice shops, not overcrowded, and lovely sandy beaches. We'll definitely be staying again.

Pros: It is absolutely gorgeous. Remote, quiet, beautiful views, beautiful villa and an amazing pool. There is not anything bad to say. Fantastic. Brilliant owners with great communication. Amazing.

Pros: Lovely pool and great views. Clean and comfortable villa. Lovely beach close by and supermarket with everything you need.

Cons: Definitely need a car to get to the beach and supermarket, easy to walk there within 7 minutes but steep hills coming back up.

Beautiful villa ❤

Pros: Beautiful villa, clean, well kept, amazing views and fabulous deep pool. There are 3 villas together in total, the owner lives in the middle one and they were always quick to help with any questions and we never felt imposed on or watched. He owns the local restaurant which gives you 10% discount when you go. Its a beautiful relaxed restaurant right on the beach front. The villa is large and roomy with all you need, dishwasher, TV, WiFi(wasn't great reception, but your on holiday - who needs WiFi). The cicadas are noisy but its a lovely noise to listen too whilst you relax around the pool. A car IS essential, supermarket is on a few min's walk away, but its up 2 very steep hills and in 45° heat we learned the hard way. Would we return, YES, our girls 14 & 18 have loved it. The village isn't packed, the lifestyle is laid back and the villa was amazing.

Cons: Could do with more items in kitchen, only 3 mugs, and 3 plastic cups for round the pool. Wasn't anything we couldn't handle.

Lovely villa ! Communication can be a little bit hit and miss.

Pros: Nice aspect to the property with sea view. Villa gets the sun all day. Pool of adequate size. Private and quiet. Facilities provided are good.

Cons: You do need a car as it is too hot to walk to beach/supermarket in summer.

Wunderschöne Villa mit kühlem Pool

Pros: Die Unterkunft ist sehr schön und geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sauber. Die Aussicht von den beiden Terrassen ist wunderschön. Der Kontakt zum Gastgeber (über Textnachrichten) war immer sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für unsere Kinder wurde sogar neues Sandspielzeug bereitgestellt. Eine wirklich schöne Villa zum Wohlfühlen!

Cons: Wir waren im Oktober dort bei durchschnittlichen Tageshöchsttemperaturen von 23 Grad. Da war es abends und morgens doch sehr kühl, so dass es sich lohnt Hausschuhe dabei zu haben für den kalten Plattenboden. Die Klimaanlage konnte zum Glück auch heizen und die Betten hatten kuschlige Decken. Die Terrassen sind ganztags im Schatten, was für den Sommer bestimmt super ist, im Herbst allerdings recht kühl. Der Pool ist schön gross und tief (bis 1.80), da er jedoch (zumindest im Herbst) bis 12 Uhr im Schatten ist, ist das Wasser darin recht kalt (kälter als das Meer).

Rentoa oleilua oliivipuun varjossa

Pros: Erittäin ystävällinen omistaja, viesteihin vastaaminen tapahtui nopeasti. Rakastimme omaa rauhaa, viereiset huvilat eivät häiritse lainkaan. Huvila oli siisti ja viihtyisä. Altaalla oliivipuun alla oli ihana viettää aikaa. Matka kauppaan, rantaan ja lähiravintolaan meni sujuvasti alamäkeä, ylös olikin sitten nousemista. Voisin varata saman huvilan uudestaan.
