GrapeVine Villa

Wonderful place to enjoy with friends!

Pros: We loved our stay at the GrapeVine Villa, the place is beautiful, the location is beautiful and the house has all the amenities you need. The host was very responsive and friendly and the owner was super kind to bring us wine, raki, fruits and anything we needed. We had a little problem with the air conditioner and the problem was solved within 10 minutes. So to sum up, wonderful!

Pros: It’s stunning. So quiet & relaxing with just a 15 minute walk into the village.

Superb spot in crete

Pros: The villa is absolutely amazing, the owner extremely friendly. If you want a quiet super relaxing time with family and friends this is a great place

Cons: Booking dot com got my details incorrect which cost me an extra 200 euro for 2 nights which was annoying. Double check what and who you are booking is my advice.

Pros: Really gorgeous and rustic villa. The location was fantastic and we loved the little town of Gavalahori and all it had to offer. The owners were amazing and we really appreciated their hospitality. We also were able to pay through the property mgmt company for a yoga instructor to come teach us privately in the villa which was super convenient. Free parking as well and easy access to beaches and great restaurants.

Cons: I believe it said there was a gym which we couldn’t find. The beds were also VERY uncomfortable unfortunately. It felt like we were sleeping on the springs only! There also weren’t any screens on the windows so we had a big problem with mosquitos in the villa at nighttime and while we slept.

Pros: The entire villa is amazing. It has the feel that you are looking for when staying in a villa. The owner is an amazing individual who is devoted to making sure your stay is amazing

Pros: Really nice place to stay with family. In walking distance to center of very nice little village with small shops and restaurants. The owner was very caring. It's a great place to stay if you want to get a bit of the feeling of Crete. Customer service in English was also great via the phone.

Cons: The mattresses could be renewed, they felt a bit thin. Otherwise everything was really fine. Be aware that you have to drive to get to any beach and that it's a rather quite spot. If you're looking for that, then it's just great! :-)

Excellent villa with a private pool

Pros: Very spacious villa with private pool. Very attentive owner.

Cons: The only real issue were the beds. They were all not comfortable - you feel every spring and its very hard. This was a shame because everything else was really good.

We had a wonderful stay but it could have been exceptional with some general improvements suggested.

Pros: The villa was well located. We all enjoyed the villa with the swallows nesting in the entrance. It was charming and the outside courtyard was great for dining. Generally we really liked the villa. The Owners, Panos and Sofia were super hosts and very generous with food and Raki. Everyone liked them.

Cons: The upstairs bathroom was too small and needs to be altered. The downstairs bath tub was dangerous and the curtain did not fit so water went on the floor - a shower here would be better. Kitchen needed some pots and pans and a new coffee machine. The mid week change of sheets did not happen and only the bath mats were changed. We did need hand towels and floor mats as well as kitchen towels. For the price paid these items need to be addressed.

Pros: L'extrême gentillesse des propriétaires, la beauté des lieux, la décoration très bien choisie, le calme des alentours et la proximité de toute commodité

Pros: Origineel grieks huis (en dus natuurlijk koel), de eigenaars en hun liaison, airco waar die nodig is, heerlijk buitenplaats met zwembad.

Cons: De bedden waren naar onze smaak wat hard maar dat is heel persoonlijk en dus geen kritiek.
