Pros: Beautiful, clean property located on the beach which is mostly sand but shingles on the waters edge. Also we had a two bedroom apartment with two sofa beds, they are ok for small children but older teens/young adults will find it uncomfortable. Not the usual sofa beds you pull out but literally two small sofas.

Cons: Usual sunbed shortage, well they had plenty of them but guests obviously enjoy hugging several even though they remain unused most of the day Also facilities is shared with the nearby hotel Entertainment was a bit naff when it did happened Food apart from breakfast was also a bit samey, but maybe I’m not cut out for A/I

Sunny vacation

Pros: Very clean. Grill restaurant was amazing and also workers there especially one lady. She was super.

Cons: That in the booking it shows the water park. But it is only included when you have all inclusive. Should be mentioned!

Pleasant and relaxing!

Pros: We had a wonderful short stay. The apartments are spacious and I loved the way units were spread around in the area. Our unit was next to a wonderful small pool that is abit hidden, and it was really beautiful. The apartment was quite comfortable. AC works well. We did not use the kitchen much, as we had the AI package. The restaurant was really above my expectations and I enjoyed the meals. We also used the water park and it was quite nice. We enjoyed the sport programs and live music in the evening. The staff, in receptions, restaurants, various bars, and elsewhere, are also very kind, professional and helpful. You can reach the nearest town in 20 minutes on foot, and in 4-5 minutes with taxi, in case you want to get out of the hotel.

Cons: There was no deep pool for adults. My partner really missed swimming in a bigger, deep pool, so it would have been a nice addition for adults. The sea has a lot of waves, and gets very deep quickly, so we were very careful to not go that far and it's not as easy to swim in the sea. The beach itself is wide and beautiful, but covered with stones partly. That was my biggest disappointment, though I know the hotel can not do anything about it:). I think the AI bar offers can improve. The cocktails were quite average and the spirit offerings are abit limited.

Easy & convenient stay for a family of five

Pros: We enjoyed our stay! Nice pools, beach access, decent food at the buffet. Overall easy and convenient with children.

Cons: I have some minor complaints, but when they add up it did have a negative impact on my perception of the hotel. In our room we had broken lamps, dirty terrace floors, the bedroom TV was installed pointing more towards the ceiling than the bed without possibilities to adjust the angle, there were lots of ants in our hallway and bathroom and the sofas in the living room were quite dirty and worn. The bathroom needed a reno. The bathrooms connected to the restaurants/pools were often dirty/smelly/clogged. They definitely need a reno, preferably there should be more bathrooms and more frequent cleaning.

Great food and facilities but far from other places

Pros: Big variety of food, we really liked all dishes. Good quality drinks - not any cheap alcohol but not all drinks are included in all-inclusive. We liked that there are more pools to use. You can borrow a beach towel and have it changed every 3 days. Free beach access with sunbeds but the beach is not that nice - full of stones. Very good WiFi, I could use it even on the beach. Beautiful plants and garden around the rooms.

Cons: The place is far from other cities or places to visit and you can not rely on the public transport. Almost no entertainment during the day, ants everywhere, even in the room. The desserts can be more international - not everyone likes the creamy Greek desserts.

Amazing food!

Pros: The choice of food was exceptional with different themes each evening. So much to choose from, freshly cooked and very tasty. The cleaning staff were very friendly and polite. There were lots of different pools with plenty of sunbeds around the upper smaller pools. We didn't use the water park; however, we heard it was good fun.

Cons: When we arrived late in the evening, the front desk was understaffed with only one man working. No information was provided and we had to work out things for ourselves. Sandwiches and fruit smoothies were provided though which was a nice touch. We had requested a baby cot which we didn't have in our room - we were told one would be brought up straight away however this wasn't rectified until the morning. The showering facilities on the evening of check out were very disappointing - was very dirty, and basically just like a hose. This was a shame as the rest of the place was spotless.

Pros: Excellent service, good food in the all inclusive buffet. One dinner is allowed to change into a la carte dinner when you make a booking. I recommend this; the food was very good. Snack bar had good variety of food as well. Hotel has many pool areas which were well kept. We had a 2 bed room apartment which had 3 air-source heat pumps that kept the room well cooled.

Cons: The waterpark was only partially opened eventhough it should have been already fully opened. Only the part for smaller kids were open and the bigger slides were still under construction (July 2025). Some very small ants in the room, but the cleaning lady poisoned them.

Nice family hotel

Pros: We recently stayed at Caldera Beach Hotel and it feels like two hotels merged together, giving guests access to plenty of amenities. There are a few nice pools and even a waterpark (extra charge). The location is a bit far from the city, but great if you’re looking for a more relaxed stay.

Fantastic stay. Amazing food. Great facilities. Loved Crete.

Pros: The buffets were amazing. We enjoyed the different theme nights where there was food from different places. There was food available all day and the free drinks included wine and cocktails. The waterslides at the back of the property were great fun. The location was great, right on the beach and main pool was fantastic. We liked the little pools and bar at the back near our appartment. Our appartment was perfect for our family of 5, each child had their own space and it was nice and cool. Great views too.

Cons: Nothing!

Great place with children

Pros: Beachfront location. Great food. Kind staff. Very child friendly. Great all inclusive.

Cons: Softer than average bed. A bit isolated, but restaurants, shops and bus stop nearby.
