Nice and relaxing place to stay

Pros: The suite we got was very private and quiet, Room was very big and spacious, Great food option provided by the hotel between the buffet and the restaurants. Great room service aswell of you missed the restaurant hours Amazing spa facilities and great options for massages and beauty treatments Amazing Japanese style restaurant, the blue dong! Service and food was top notch

Cons: The minibar wasn’t refilled during our 11 nights stay, we asked for it and we were told only once a week but didn’t get a refill after a week Bed mattress was very uncomfortable and soft! I ask for the mattress to be changed which at the beginning they didn’t wanted to but after exchanging they resulted in swapping one, which was appreciated but didn’t resolve the issue as it was the same issue, too soft! Room walls and floors were slightly damaged and tired, not what you could expect from a 5 stars in my opinion! Cocktails at the pool bar were ok but not fantastic, some of the staff were very unfriendly and slightly nonchalant, again not what I would expect from a 5 stars in my opinion!

Pros: The food was fantastic, service was great and the facilities were to a high standard. The rooms were clean and very comfortable

Cons: It would be great if the pools could be a little warmer for the cooler months

Pros: Beautiful resort with friendly and helpful staff. All of the amenities were great. The food in the buffet was delicious with lots of vegetarian and gluten free options.

Amazing stay! I would definitely come back again

Pros: Amazing hotel! The staff were amazing! Absolutely amazing and lovely! The room was as expected and described. The room was being cleaned everyday and all the staff were polite. The breakfast was amazing and very fulling, they had so many options for breakfast and it was great!! The lunch and dinner was also great! There were a lot of options too! Great options for kids, I saw kids loving the food and enjoying it. The pool was great too even tho I didn’t go inside. They had a beach right next to the hotel and that’s where I spent most of my time. The beach had loads of waves 😂 but loved it so much. The hotel is quite far from Chania, about 45 minutes by bus but it’s better to take the bus because taxi is expensive. I loved everything about this hotel. Also, concierges are great! Amazing service from them.

Cons: I loved everything! It’s a 5 star hotel so they are quite expensive compared to other hotels.

Nice hotel would recommend

Pros: Friendly staff mostly, nice hotel, clean with a good location. Rooms were nice not amazing beds were comfortable.

Cons: Food was ok but not amazing some staff were a bit asleep.

Wonderful family holiday

Pros: Excellent staff. It is so family friendly and has everything to offer. The breakfast was the best we had in all of Greece. Spotless and fantastic room cleaning and service. I would highly recommend.

Cons: It would have been nice to have a designated area for smokers only with seating and refreshment as l felt this is what was lacking.

Exceptional stay with the family

Pros: Excellent swimming pools, tasty food, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff and incredible welcoming.

Pros: Our experience overall was very good. The food was really good. Even if you have intolerance there were options, not many during breakfast but lunch and dinner there was always something. The staff were really friendly. The hotel really clean, always can see cleaners. Swimming pool was big and plenty of space even when it’s busy. The glass sides around the pool gave it that extra special look and the kids loved it. Don’t be put off by the road leading up to the hotel. It’s 2 mins off the main road but very quiet area with only a handful of restaurants/bars and shops. The shop in the hotel seems to be cheaper than the shop opposite the hotel.

Cons: The only negative experience we had were the beds! They are hard mattresses and the pillows were lumpy and not comfortable. We requested a double mattress, but we got 2 singles put together which is the same at most hotels these days. Never ideal. Isn’t a negative about the hotel just a heads up for those who like to hire a car and travel. Most ‘local’ places on the west side of the island seem to be 45mins to an hour 15 min drive.

Pros: We had a lovely stay at Avra Imperial Hotel. The staff truly made the experience — everyone was helpful, professional, and always polite. The food was delicious with a good variety, and both the sea and the pools were beautiful and very well maintained. The hotel itself was spotless, and the rooms were spacious, clean, and very comfortable.

Cons: The only thing we felt was missing was a bit more in terms of activities or entertainment in the evenings — some animation or organized events would have added a nice touch to the overall experience.

5 star all on fronts!

Pros: My stay at Avra Imperial exceeded all expectations. A fantastic variety of food across multiple restaurants, incredible pools and large spacious bedrooms. The staff were accommodating and friendly too. The location is great, there are some nice local restaurants a short walk away. We also enjoyed exploring the incredible beaches in western Crete.

Cons: The car park was a little small which made parking difficult but we managed to find a space.
