Exceptional stay at Relax Hotel – truly living up to its name

Pros: I was so happy that I chose to stay at Relax Hotel in Paleochora, Crete. From the very first moment, I felt welcomed like a guest of the family rather than just a visitor. The hotel is managed by such a kind and beautiful family. Olga and her husband were incredibly helpful with everything — always smiling, attentive, and ready to assist with any request or recommendation. Their hospitality made the whole experience even more special. The hotel itself is high level in every sense. My room was spacious, modern, and beautifully designed. You can feel that great attention has been paid to every single detail — from the interior décor to cleanliness and comfort. Breakfast was another highlight — very varied, fresh, and absolutely delicious. A perfect way to start the day in Crete. Relax Hotel truly lives up to its name — it’s a place where you can fully unwind and enjoy your stay in comfort and warmth. Highly recommend 👌

Pros: The way we were treated exceeded expectations and what is usual, so I recommend it.

Pros: Large spotless ensuite room and balcony . Excellent breakfast. Lift to upper floors. Friendly and helpful staff. We were able to arrange a trip to Samaria Gorge at short notice and laundry service.

Fantastic stay at Relax Hotel - but too short!

Pros: The hotel is lovely. The pool is great but a little cool in October. Rooms were large comfortable and very clean. The staff very friendly and the managers went out of their way to make us welcome. They happily gave us a late check out as our bus was not until the evening. Position opposite the beach is perfect with a very easy walk to all restaurants and bars in the town. Pool/beach towels provided too.

Pros: Great location, pleasant atmosphere, very efficient friendly staff. Lovely clean room, lots of choice for breakfast.

Cons: The big, floating water beds on the pool. It was dfficult to move when near them in the water.

Really good quality hotel

Pros: The inner garden with the papaya trees and the little restaurant/cafe of the hotel are vey nice. I booked the luxury double room with a whirlpool. The bedroom and bathroom are very new and comfortable. The terrace with the whirlpool is amazing, too. I had a view of the pool and the inner garden of the hotel. The whirlpool itself is somewhat shielded from view, and you have a sitting area with couches and sunbeds on the terrace. I liked bathing in the evening, with warm water and a view on the stars. Cons: I also used the gym to work out; there is no public gym you can use in paleochora so having the opportunity to workout in the hotel was much appreciated. The gym is equipped with cardio machines (treadmill, erg, bike), one combi-weight machine, and some other equipment (a pair of dumbells, yoga mats, bands, etc.). The weight machine would need a touch up, some functionalities didn't work that well so I couldn't really train my legs. That's why I mainly used the treadmill and the pair of dumbells they had. I also did yoga in there: since I was the only one using the gym, I could project a yoga lesson onto the television there and do the exercise, which was quite nice.

I highly recommend this hotel. The town of Paleliochora is a fantastic place, great beach, restaurants and a calm vibe
