The Prickly Pear Apartment

Modern, chilled, nature, flowers, relaxation…

Pros: The apartment is modern and clean. It is great for hot days as being on the ground floor and having trees in front of it keeps it chilled. The hosts are nice and super helpful. At the beginning, the location can seem a bit tricky as it’s in a neighbourhood not far from Nea Chora beach but then you realise you have access to the beach and to other beaches east of the city. You can also walk into town and experience the nice city vibes with lots of events, tavernas and boutique shops. And yes forgot the front garden - it’s a super nice corner of heaven.

Cons: Nothing, everything was perfect.

Pros: The apartment is part of the ground floor of the owner's 3 storey house. It's in a pleasant neighbourhood with the main street just a couple of minutes walk. Supermarkets, good butcher, coffee shops and usual high st amenities are just a few minutes walk away. The centre of Chania is 10 minutes walk, parking is off street and secure. The owner is very amenable and even though a barbeque is not listed he lent us his own. The garden is very well tended by his wife though it is at the front of the property. This isn't much of a problem as there is a bollard to stop cars accessing so it's pleasant to sit outside in the evening without people walking by.

Cons: Grill tray could do with a grate. You need to use an oven shelf with the tray underneath to grill anything - not the easiest. Kitchen knives could do with a sharpen if you are doing much cooking but we mentioned to the owner and he is actioning. Front door could do with a handle. They have a key holder like hotels you put the key in to keep the lights etc on so you can't go out leaving a/c etc on. Only thing is if you are outside you need to leave the door open, if it shuts in the wind as it did on us once you have to climb through the kitchen window!

Pros: Great, quiet location, cosy apartment. The little garden in front of the house was just perfect to have a meal, relax in the shadow of the trees. Xanthi and her husband welcomed me w/ fruits, home made cake and some Creten specialty and the traditional red eggs for Easter :-) The apartment was absolutely well equipped and clean. Frankly you cannot ask for more.

Cons: I cannot list anything, sincerely all was very good, even beyond my expectations. I have rented multiple apartments already around the world through different platforms. This place is in my Top 5.

Pros: Very friendly host, they provided us with extra sheets and towels as we spend almost 3 weeks in the apartment. Lovely small garden. Good WiFi. We had all we needed.

Wonderful stay

Pros: The apartment was ideally located, close to beaches, with a pleasant walk into the Old Town. The apartment was clean and the hosts very friendly.

Cons: The bed could have been a bit more comfortable, but it wasn't an issue.

Pros: Everything from the start, meeting the hosts, made very welcome, fruit and cake were there for us, really nice touch, The facilities there is in the air bnb like being at home, very cozy, nice to have the garden, nice and quiet day and night, very close virtually centrally located to the beach & town of charnia, Shops very close to pick up daily things like bread & milk, All in all a lovely place to stay and ready to go back when next year THANKYOU xx

Lovely apartment and lovely hosts

Pros: Lovely hosts and lovely place. Nice and clean apartment with many extras such as coffee, tea, cleaning staff and even ouzo and a cake as welcome thing. Great communication with host and very helpful when we were planning our trips. Apartment also located close to old town Chania not even 15mins walk which was another pros. Highly recommended place!

Memorable holiday at the Prickly Pear

Pros: Had a lovely stay iat the Prickly Pear apartmemt. Lovely apartment great location. Use of beautiful garden at location. Very friendly accomodating helpful host. Beautiful cake and drink on arrival to greet you on arrival.

Pros: El apartamento espectacular!!! La terraza maravillosa!! Mucha tranquilidad! Un paseo hasta una playa y de ahí por la playa otro paseo hasta el pueeto veneciano.

Pros: Nous avons passé un séjour formidable à la.canée. Appartement situé à 25 min à pied du port vénitien. Commerces à proximité. Appartement très propre, très bien équipé avec un jardin très bien aménagé et très appréciable. Quartier très calme. Xanthi et sa compagne sont des personnes très gentilles, serviables et très discrètes. Nous avons adoré la crête et y reviendrons avec plaisir.
