Beautiful stay with amazing hosts

Pros: This trip felt like visiting family, even though we have never met before! Alexandros and Dania are exceptional hosts, something we’ve never experienced before but loved so much. Their house sits in a quiet neighbourhood where everybody talks to each other. The home is super clean, spotless I would say, it is very well equipped for every kind of need and the patio in front is amazing for the evenings. Fully recommend you stay with them and enjoy their company, because they have a beautiful story and are a very sweet family. Thank you guys for everything!

Pros: The apartment is spacious and well-equipped. The internet worked well and I could have video meetings with no problem. The host Alexandros was very helpful (however, he did not speak very much English, just a bit). The location is a bit far from everything, it wasn't a problem but it took some 15-20 min to walk anywhere like sea or center and 5-10 min to shops (and Chania wasn't made for walking, there are almost no sidewalks).

Cons: I had a very strange situation with communication with the host Dania. I see many reviews here saying how nice and hospitable she is, however, my experience was different. Dania was away when I stayed, so we never met in person. The rest of communication was totally ok, but the episode I describe below was too bad to not be mentioned. I first booked the apartment for just myself, and a couple of days later I sent some questions about local busses which never got answered. Two weeks later (it was still 29 days before arrival) I asked if I could add 3 more people to the booking and how much that would cost. I got a reply from Dania that my question was received and that she would come back with an answer in the evening. I felt it would be taken care of and relaxed. However, no answer came during next 3 weeks, so when it was just a bit more than 1 week until arrival, I wrote my questions again asking for the price. No answer came, after a couple of days I called. Alexandros wasn't able to communicate in English by phone, Dania was not available. She then contacted me some hours later on WhatsApp. We started chatting and finally she gave me the price for adding 3 more people, which was higher than the price I already paid (the refund deadline had passed by that time). I was surprised of the high price and checked how much it would cost if I book for 4 people from the beginning. It was 140 EUR cheaper, so I asked if the price she gave me was correct. She then called me and started telling me in a not so polite and even a bit aggressive way that it was less than a week before my arrival (as if I had not started asking 20+ days ago) and that I either pay the price she says or I can find another location to stay at. (Seriously?? Is this how you talk to your customers?) I would have, for sure, found another location (there was availability) if I could cancel my booking for free but I already paid EUR 400+ so I chose to stay but my friends stayed elsewhere, of course.

Pros: What a fantastic find…Just in the edge of the beautiful town of Chania. Superb hospitality from amazing hard working family. Dania speaks many languages she gave me local produce to try and told me about places to go which you won’t find in the books.. I managed to fit in a few which totally enhanced my stay on this stunning island. It’s a short walk to a couple of restaurants or just 10 minutes to the start of the main town. The Supermarket is close where you can get some great produce. If you’re looking for something a bit more traditional, quiet and a really fair price look no further. The accommodation is spacious, super clean and has everything you need.. A real privilege to stay and I really hope I can visit again soon.. highly recommended.

Pros: Family😍 Alezsander and Dania Super persons, always on the line, what everything happends. I really recomend this lovely HOME.

Pros: The house is big and well furnished. The bed is confortable. Dania and Alexandros are really kind and welcoming hosts. Even the neibourhood is nice. When we return to Chania, we'll sure come back to their house.

Perfect

Pros: Dania and Alexandro are incredibly caring, generous and respectful people !! They gave us precious recommendations about the places we wanted to visit, the good spots to eat, and helped us with everything we needed to know to spend a great time and have amazing holidays... The house is perfectly clean and cosy, well designed and equipped, not far from the beach and the historic center of Chania. You don't need to look anywhere else, Alexandro cosy house is the best place in town to stay with your friends or your family!!

Pros: Dania was very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Big, spacious apartment with everything you might need. Quiet location, yet not far from the beach or the old town.

Pros: Wonderful, generous and very helpful hosts. Confortable and clean apartment. About 20 min to the center of beautiful Chania. The place worth to visit, the people worth to meet.

At home & very helpful

Pros: Next to sea side and the center, the house is perfect to visit Chania by foot. Beds are comfortable enough you can rest easy after walking. We appreciate Dania's help and welcome.

Cons: The equipment is a little bit basic and we prefer more supplies when arriving as fresh water, coffee filters, maybe 1 washing tablet... ;)
