Elia City Apartments

Modern apartment in a great location with excellent staff; temporary construction nearby.

Pros: The place was lovely and had everything one could need for a comfortable stay. The apartment was modern, clean, spacious, and felt brand new. It included thoughtful extras such as toiletries, a small hygiene kit, an iron and ironing board, bathrobes, and a well-equipped kitchen with all necessary appliances, utensils, and cookware, even a small bottle of olive oil, which was a very nice touch. The bedroom also had blackout blinds, which made sleeping very comfortable. The balcony with a table and chairs was great, and the location was excellent: a small convenience store right below the apartments, a five-minute walk to the beach, and plenty of lovely restaurants nearby. The staff were wonderful; always easy to reach via WhatsApp, quick to reply, and very helpful with booking taxis, restaurants, and other arrangements. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely return.

Cons: The only downside was a construction site next door, which caused some noise and dust during the last two days of the stay. This may be something to be aware of for guests who are sensitive to noise; however, it is temporary and will no longer be an issue once the building work is completed.

Pros: the 1 bed-room apartment was very big, with all the amenities you could think of (incl. a microwave, a big fridge, a dishwasher, a washing machine). We were given a crib for our child and extra blankets and pillows. A relatively big supermarket is located next to the apartment and the staff is super friendly.

Pros: The best recommendations with everything and especially Elina in the reception is so welcoming, warm and helpful ❤️

Pros: The location is probably one of the most convenient in Chania. In 10 minutes, you can be on the beach with gentle sand or get to a beautiful old town with lots of restaurants and local shops. The harbour is also near the apartment. I also enjoyed a modern design with everything you need for your daily routine ( iron, washing machine, toaster, hair dryer, etc). Many thanks for an exceptional service!

Convenient for a short stay.

Pros: Convenient location for Nea Chora beach and the old town. Supermarket in the same building. Convenient for the bus station.

Cons: Once in the apartment, we were asked to go to another property (5 minutes away) to sign in, complete documentation, etc.. Having spent the morning waiting to access the apartment while carrying our luggage around, it would have been helpful to have been told about this step in the check-in process beforehand, and perhaps to have been invited to leave our bags in reception prior to check-in.

Perfect for a short stay

Pros: Accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed for a few days. Location was also very close to both centre and beach.

Cons: View from the balcony as they're building next door.

Close distance either to the beach of Nea Chora or to the city center

Pros: Staff was very helpful and friendly. We very much appreciated the close distance either to the beach of Nea Chora or to the city center. The excursion to Elafonissi which was organized by Elia was great, our driver very nice and obliging.

Cons: Beware of the fact that it is a city apartment in the rather loud city Chania. If you are looking for a quiet place it is wrong for you.

Good location, spacious and modern apartments

Pros: The apartments are modern, clean, and offer plenty of space — ideal for a longer stay. They're also conveniently located within walking distance of the Old Town (around 15 minutes), making it easy to explore the city on foot. Close to Agio Apostoli beach (10 min drive) and Neo Chora beach (10 min walk).

Cons: We had a generally comfortable stay, but there were a few areas that could be improved. First, there are only a limited number of parking spots available for guests, which can be frustrating, especially in such a busy area. The immediate surroundings were quite hectic due to traffic and ongoing roadworks, which made access a bit challenging. Additionally, there was construction happening right next to the apartments, which led to noise and disturbance early in the mornings — something to be aware of if you're looking for a quiet stay. There was no regular cleaning service during our 7-night stay. By the end of the week, our garbage bins were full, but we were informed that emptying them wasn’t included in the price. Offering at least a mid-stay clean or clearer guidance on waste disposal would really enhance the experience.

Pros: Great location, close to both Nea Chora beach and the Old town. A big supermarket is at the ground level of the building, which was very convenient. The staff is friendly and accomodating. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom big, the entire apartment spacious and clean, with modern amenities.

Cons: We were faced east, towards a nearby building, therefore our view from the balcony was of a wall. The AC in the living room couldn't be turned on with the remote it had, or at least we didn't manage to. Some kitchen essentials would have been great, such as condiments/oil. The living room sofa could have been more comfortable for lounging.

Chania a little Greek gem

Pros: 10mins to the beach or the old town. Modern and clean and secure . Small supermarket at the side of the apartment. Great for self catering

Cons: Building noise early in the morning 7 - 7.30 I think this should have been mentioned when booking the apartment. Luckily for us we are people that get up early but that’s not the case for everyone
