Stratos Villas

Pros: The location was perfect, hearing the quietness of the country after a week in Athens was what I needed. They cleaned the room and bins. A communal washing machine to use and the views from the balcony were incredible, definitely miss this place.

Magical place, we loved to come back someday!

Pros: So beautiful and peaceful place, we loved every minute there! There were everything you need in the house and it was very clean, the garden and the pool area was beautiful. There were totally silence at nights and thousands of stars at the sky. Magical place.

Cons: Stairs to the bedroom were a bit difficult.

Second stay, amazing tranquil house.

Serene place in an amazing location

Pros: Beautiful place in an astonishing location. Very private, clean, well cared for villa. Suited our needs of driving around small villages in the mountainous region of Crete. Arrival instructions were clear and we enjoyed our stay. I would recommend staying here if you want to drive around and explore the south of Crete as well as what local villages in the mountains have to offer for an authentic Cretan experience.

Peaceful Getaway

Pros: Wonderful peaceful location at the base of the White Mountains and with olive trees for miles. The villa has a small kitchen and is well equipped, though we recommend driving out to the local tavernas in nearby villages! A car is a must, but the villa is well connected with most attractions, beaches and Chania around a 30 minute drive away. We will absolutely be returning.

Pros: Nice setting, very kind and accommodating hosts, the kitchen was well furnished.

Cons: The wi-fi was simply terrible. Stairs to the bedroom were excessively steep.

Excellent stay at Stratos Villas

Pros: Lovely peaceful location, the villa has everything you need.

Cons: If air-conditioning was also downstairs it would be a lot more comfortable.

Pros: Location, comfortable good size clean bed, good water pressure on shower, toilet upstairs and downstairs, air con upstairs, everything was clean, fresh towels most days, fresh bed linen 3 to 4 times in the fortnight we were there, pool, sunbeds and umbrellas were good, gardens were kept good, electric gate to property. Very quiet

Cons: No air con downstairs, so we bought a fan, which made it a lot better. We left it there for the owners or the next visitors to use. A microwave would have been good and a bigger freezer. A pair of kitchen scissors would have been good. Also I think the pool pump could have been on a lot more during the day. Unfortunately I have a problem with heights and the stairs were very steep in villa no 2, but I manged by coming down backwards holding onto the hand rail and the next stair up. An information book with where things were eg washing machine, bins outside and whether toilet roll was permitted down the toilet ( we guessed at that one and used the bin) etc. A visitors book for people to write in saying which tavernas were good or not, places they had visited and whether they were good or not etc and just so they could thank the owners for a lovely holiday like they do here in GB in the holiday cottages. We never found a jacuzzi or hot tub which was mentioned in facilities on bookings com, which wasn't a big deal but shouldn't say that there is one when there isn't really. All that said though we still had a good time and we would visit again.

Superb holiday, great places to visit, lovely area and good weather

Pros: Lovey location, superb views in all directions, good facilities, great pool, everything maintained well and kept very clean.

Cons: Minor points. Could have had cushions on the sofa, a dustpan and brush, and beach towels. A microwave would have been useful. Maybe shoot that nearby Cockerel.

Hidden gem not far from Chania for all those who love nature

Pros: We had perfect holiday in this wonderful accommodation surrounded by olive trees forest, 20-25 min. drive from Chania. The villa is located in the hills and you must have a car to reach it, but luckily there are many affordable rent a car opportunities on Crete. Excellent opportunity to explore the small villages in the area and all beautiful attractions of the Chania region and Rethymno.
