Kontis Village

Pros: We loved staying at Kontis village and cannot wait to go back!! It is about a 10 min drive from Georgiopoulos Square, we hired a rental car but grateful that taxis were easily available! Katarina was the absolute best! She came everyday to check the pool, changed the bins and made sure we had everything we needed. She was so lovely and accommodating! Katarina helped us find the best boat tour! Highly recommend 😄

Pros: Property finished to highest standard. Hosts were very responsive.

Cons: Property not closed off by gate - goats can end up next to the pool

Definitely worth a stay.

Pros: Great property, up in the hill and hence very quiet and private. Nice private pool and garden. Spacious rooms and well decorated. Helpful host.

Cons: Being in the middle of nature, there are a few bugs from time to time.

Pros: Beautiful villa, with 3 bedrooms (we needed only one), saloon, open kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Nice, small swimming pool (spot-clean). Great place to spend time during vacation. In Vryses village (longer walk or by car) several tavernas, markets (we recommend the local cheese shop). Walking distance to Dounakis winery (great, relaxing wine tasting experience), Braudakis local products shop (mountain tee, spices, wines, olive oil and more). Close to ancient Aptera, Chania, Rethymno, around 2h drive to Eulafonisi beach. Responsive host and also very responsive girls taking care of our stay (greetings, Oksana and Katerina!). Nice barbecue option (bought some local products and made barbeque). We recommend this place a lot. Thank you for hosting us :)

Cons: Everything was perfect! I think there are two items that could slightly improve the stay: Lights around the house and swimming pool in the night. In our opinion they're not necessary and could be turned off, but they are not annoying. Also, The Host should consider putting more visible information about the new 2024 environmental fee - we didn't pay it in the end, but such information should be present in rules and policies of the property, in bold. Also,should be included in the final price info (UE and Booking requirement...)

Fantastic place, fantastic hosts, fantastic villa!

Pros: Warm welcome, super kind hosts, beautiful, very well equipped villa, nice pool, great surroundings. Family-friendly spot for those who prefer authentic cretan life instead of mainstream touristic mass-tourism.

Cons: The only thing we didn't like is to have to leave....

Pure luxury

Pros: Everything here is beautiful, from the luxurious villa to the stunning pool with mountain views- there's a really special feeling here. The villa has a high end feeling and it is clear that the owners have spent a lot of time (and money) on providing guests with style and comfort. The area surrounding the villa has an authentic atmosphere and there is even a local taverna just a short walk away offering the most delicious food. Last but not least, I cannot write a review without mentioning the fabulous Katarina! She was perfect host and couldn't do enough for us. She accommodated our requests for extra cots and beds making sure it was all set up on arrival. I would highly recommend a visit to Villa Kontis.

Pros: We had a very pleasant stay at villa Kontis. The house was clean and cosy, warm and it had everything. The outside views were really nice and the view of the sunset breathtaking. Close to the ocean and Lake Kournas, but also very peaceful. Our hosts were very helpful and always standby if we needed them. The animals were a very nice plus for our little children. VERY MUCH RECOMMENDED

Cons: There was only one high chair available (at the time) for our 2 kids. But there were enough pillows to let them sit on normal chairs.
