a beautiful home for a family holiday

Pros: The owner was very friendly and helpful. it is a beautiful property on a hill top with a lovely view. We appreciated the groceries she left for us and that she arranged a cleaning during our stay and change of linens.

Cons: Unfortunately we had very cold and rainy weather the whole week we were there and I do not want that to effect my review. We found the need to turn a hot water heater on each time we wanted hot water a bit of a hassle for the price of the accommodation. the master bedroom has a jacuzzi tub with no shower curtain/glass and there is no way to shower without the room being a flooded mess every time. There is no hot tub, but a jacuzzi bathtub. the pool is not heated…we knew this going in and this is not a fault of the property, but if you want to use the pool, you should not come to Crete until June. This is advertised as a private villa, but it is actually the top 2 floors with the property owner living below you on the same property. you are about 15 minutes from Chania by car, so you definitely need a car. it is fairly windy as you are up high and exposed. the knives in the kitchen were dull and difficult to cook with.

Made for an amazing and relaxing vacation.

Pros: View was spectacular. Pool was great. House was spacious and clean. Hosts were welcoming and responsive to questions and problems, and provided some great recommendations regarding what to see and do in the area.
