Pros: The best host you can and a charming apartment in Chania old town and with lots of amenities.

Cons: It wasn't a problem in my trip (for me it's part of apartments charm) but if you're not confortable with stairs or have heavy luggages the steep stairs might be a problem.

Pros: Location was perfect. Everything we needed was in the house. fantastic terrace. Very clean.

Cons: There could be more information on there being 40 stairs in the house. My two friends had to be very careful as they are not as fit as me. We were not happy about the cleaners coming to the house at 5 pm to change sheets etc. That is a time when most people would be at the house to shower and chill before the evening.We had to sit with our feet up in the lounge because the floors had been mopped.They left at nearly 7 pm.

A wonderful few days spent in a lovely property in the centre of Chania.

Pros: The location of the property is excellent! It is located on a pedestrianised street right in the centre of Chania surrounded by bars and restaurants and the beach is only a short walk away. This property also has a gorgeous terrace which my friends and I thoroughly enjoyed using for various lunches and evening meals. On arrival, the host had very kindly left some food for us which was a lovely touch. The communication with the host was excellent both prior to our visit and during. I would highly recommend this property and if I return to Chania, I will definitely be staying here again.

A great introduction to Chania and the island of Crete.

Pros: Aphrodite House is located very centrally in the old town of Chania close to the harbour and everything you may wish to access. The main bus station is approx 10 minutes walk away and offers a range of reliable and inexpensive buses to other towns on the island. The house is set over three floors with the first floor offering a lounge, kitchen and bathroom. The second floor has a double bedroom facing the lane and a large landing area. The top floor has a twin room at the rear of the property and a lovely roof terrace overlooking the lane. The house was in immaculate condition, the kitchen had an extensive range of equipment, there was also a washing machine which was located in the bathroom. The house is tastefully decorated and comfortable for a group of people. An important factor for me was the very responsive communication with the owner Aphrodite, this was both prior to and during our stay. Any messages were answered almost immediately.

Cons: The negative side to being in the centre of things was that the double bedroom in particular experienced some noise, mainly at night but this had been mitigated as far as possible by effective double glazing and shutters.

Pros: Loved the location, in a lovely little atmospheric lane tucked in just steps away from the harbour. It was spotlessly clean and had everything you would need for a stay. The bed was super comfortable. The landlady was very nice and easy to contact. I don't believe we could have chosen better for our stay.

Cons: A word of warning, steps. There are a lot of steps, beginning at front entrance and they are steep, so if you are not reasonably fit beware. The wi fi did not work on balcony which was disappointing but on lower levels it was excellent. Because it is in the middle of a busy tourist area above cafes and restaurants it is noisy at night so you need to be a person who does not mind a bit of street noise.

Pros: Great location with everything provided like bottled water

Pros: The house was in a great location close to the harbour. The host left water juice raki bread fruit jam butter which was a nice touch. The house was spotlessly clean and was serviced twice during our stay. Aphrodite was very nice and offered her services for anything we asked.
