A home away from home with incredible hospitality

Pros: This property was perfectly located and equipped with everything you need to create a home away from home, while exploring Kissamos. A short walk to the local bus stop, restaurants and cafes as well as a large supermarket. Our stay was topped off with the incredible hospitality of the most generous and genuine hosts. Thank you Nektarios and Chris for treating us like family and sharing your homemade treats with us during our stay. This was truly a wonderful stay. We look forward to returning.

Very confortable and satisifed with overal stay

Pros: Hosts were very kind, easy to communicate, place was very clean.

Cons: Close to the road, cars could be noisy while driving by with higher speed

Pros: Lovely and spacious. They had everything we needed. There's nothing more annoying than arriving someone that has one saucepan and a couple of blunt knives, but this wasn't the case. They had nice sharp knives, plenty of cookware, coffee machine, large fridge/freezer, new washing machine....everything which made it a very comfortable stay!! On top of that, the hosts were so lovely! Very friendly and welcoming. We had to check-in at 1am due to our flight being delayed but Nektarios was there to welcome us and was always in contact in case we needed anything throughout our stay.

Must stay for who are seeking a spacious and clean accomodation.

Pros: We were really surprised by this accomodation. We have stayed in various airbnbs around the world but Monte Mare was one of the best we ever stayed. The hosts Nektarios and Chris were very kind. At the arrival there was even a warm home baked cake! We felt very welcome and at home. The appartement is very spacious and fully equipped. The accomodation is situated very central near highlights of west Crete, e.g.: Balos/Gramvoussa, Elafonossi, Flassarna. We would very recommend the place, also for long stay! If We ever come back to Crete we would definitely come back.

Pros: This was the most pleasant apartment I have stayed at. It was a very modern apartment, very clean and comfortable bed. The shower is also massive. The owners were the most kindest of hosts you could think of. They even had made small homemade treats for us. You can also park right in front of the apartment. You can walk into the old town within 15-20min and the kissamos harbour is a 3min drive away, where you can catch the ferry to Balos Beach.
