Thalassa Old Town Apartment

Perfect for our needs.

Pros: Comfortable, well equipped and spacious. Just a short 5 minute walk from the Venetian harbour. Supermarket close by. No issues parking. Washing machine available.

Cons: Construction work right next door so you have to keep the bedroom shutters and window closed during the day and it’s noisy. They start around 7am so no lie ins. If you’re an early bird it’s no issue. Bathroom could do with refurbishing. No plug in bathroom sink.

Pros: The apartment location was perfect. A short walk from Chania harbour.

Cons: It is a building site, the view is not pleasant and the builders started work at 7am!

The best choice!

Pros: The best choice! This is honestly the best area to stay. In just 5 minutes you’re at the beach if you go left, and in another 5 minutes you reach the Venetian harbor if you go right. Everything you need is close by – pharmacies, a 24/7 supermarket, and plenty of tasty tavernas. You really don’t need a car unless you plan to explore the whole island. There’s also free parking, and it was always easy to find a spot. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. The host, Nikolas, was amazing – he answered all our questions no matter the time, which made everything so easy. Right now (July 2025) there are some construction works in front of the building, but it didn’t really bother us because we were out most of the day, usually at the beach. Next time we come, we’ll definitely stay here again!

Pros: The apartment is located in a walking distance from downtown. Easy check in, parking. Despite the cold weather, the heating solution worked out well.

Very good apartment on fringe of the old town of Chania

Pros: Excellent apartment, everything worked. Good internet and TV. Lift to the flat which is on 2nd floor. Top location adjacent to the old town but with easy parking- we parked in the street, but there is also private parking in the basement carpark. This was by a long way the best of various places we stayed in Crete

Cons: Drive through Chania challenging. The shower is over the bath- take special care getting in and out!!

Pros: Everything was superb. Pity about construction going on in the neighbourhood. It will change a lot in the future but the apartment will hopefully stay great. Thanks for the olive oil delivery.

Brilliant property

Pros: Great location few minutes walk to old town. lovely apartment, huge balcony and 2 other good size balconies. Host very helpful andfriendly. Would highly recommend apartment, would definitely stay here again.
